Pastor Jeff and Johann are natives of Hammond, Indiana, where they attended the same high school, and are veterans of the U.S. Air Force, although they did not serve together. Pastor Jeff is a graduate Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida with a degree in Pastoral Ministry.
Johanna earned a bachalor’s degree from Indiana University and a Master’s Degree from South University.
Pastor Jeff has served La Pore Assembly since 1989. Originally, Pastor Jeff served as our youth pastor for five years before taking on other responsibilities within the ministry. In 1996, the congregation elected Pastor Jeff to serve as our Lead Pastor.
Together, Jeff and Johanna have four adult children, two of whom are married, scattered across the county. Jeff and Johanna are also excited to have one grandchild and look forward to seeing that number increase!
Pastor Jeff has a passion to see people become fully surrendered followers of Jesus. His desire is to see people be made into mature disciples of Christ who understand the Bible and accurately apply it’s principles to their lives.
Partnering with other Bible-believing churches and ministries in the community and working with the talented staff at La Porte Assembly, Pastor Jeff and Johanna are excited about the great opportunities to impact La Porte and the surrounding area with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
